Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a method of analyzing risk in manufacturing, both during the design of a product and during its manufacture. Understanding the mindset to approach FMEA is more important than knowing how to complete a specific document. FMEA is more than a document completed only at the request of a customer, it brings value to companies and customers by focusing risk analysis in a logical way to reduce risks and costs.
