First Management Training Class for Migrant Workers Officially Begins

As an important subproject of “Integration into City”, a public welfare program launched by ECUST School of Business, the first management training class for migrant workers is officially opened on September 7th. The students of this free-of-tuition class are composed of 60 migrant workers working in new industries.

The “Integration into City” Program is a large-scale public welfare program that was initiated by ECUST School of Business and organized by MBA and EMBA Student Association. The teachers, students and alumni of the school will all participate in the Program. The training period for the students of this class is two months. The courses they will learn include “Fundamentals of Management Science”, "5S Management”, "KPI Performance”, "Management of Job Foreman”, "Team Encouragement”, "Career Planning”, "Time Management”, etc.

Dean Wu Baijun stated that School of Business launched this program in order to help the migrant workers find better jobs in cities, and in the meantime, to cultivate students’ sense of social responsibility.

The teachers of the training program are all volunteers, including the teachers’ group headed by Prof. Wu Baijun, dean of School of Business, as well as some of the school’s MBA and EMBA students who are in senior management positions within enterprises.
