Shanghai Museum Trip

发布者:MBA教育项目来源:华东理工大学商学院

A sunny late-november morning at People Square, we the ECUST MBA Students met at 9.00 am to discover a bit more about Chinese history and culture at the Shanghai Museum. Nearly thirty smiling people from all over the world invaded the five floors of history, where we had the opportunity travel in time back to the 21st century BC of the Chinese Bronzes’ area. Walking through vessels and pots of all the dimensions with engraved dragons and amazing details we experienced this amazing era.

Later on we moved further in history across the 1st century AC to the Ancient Chinese Sculptures’ area where we met the first Buddha’s sculptures of all different shapes and materials (stone, wood etc according to different periods). Then upstairs divided in random groups, following different taste and interest between Ancient Chines Ceramics’ area, Gallery of Ancient Chinese paintings’ area and furthermore.

Most interestingly our attention was captured by the Ancient Chinese Jade ’ room with marvelous sculputers and jewelleries, in this room a short film was shown about the labor process of the mineral and how it developed through time. The tour was taking its end in the Chinese Minority’s room where typical folk costumes and clothes from all different parts of the country was exhibited. In particulair we recognized some that are still worn in western parts of the country.

Walking through more than 3000 years of history, our time past really fast, and at 12.00 we found ourselves in the modern age again, at a Korean BBQ Restaurant to have lunch and reflect on our travel through time.
